Heart Attack & Handcuffs (civil case)
Hello friend,
I forgot to say in my last blog (2018-72): I wrote to about a dozen solicitors seeking their representation in this case. Some didn’t even bother replying, some did but said they had no capacity and some said there was no case. Had I listened to the naysayers this case would not have got off the starting blocks. I knew the MoJ could not defend this case; so why could trained professionals not see this? Had one of these firms got involved I suspect the damages could have been a lot higher, given their access to legal case law which, as a prisoner, we struggle to find.
Nonetheless, this is not for the faint hearted. In terms of my time, I spent over 380 hours working on this case. Put another way, that’s 10 x 37 1/2 hour working weeks or 16 x 24 hour days. This case was hard won through determination and perspiration.
Be happy, be safe.
