New Year Thanks
My first blog of 2018: I want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have supported me over the past year; friends, family, prisoners support groups, solicitors, staff and prisoners, and those of you who visit my site.
Particular thanks to my mother, G. and S. Your continued support is something I could never repay; but I’ll give it a go after I win my appeal.
Thanks also to my appeal team; Mark Newby, Charles Westwood and the rest of Jordans, Lancaster University Miscarriage of Justice Clinic, and the QC and Professor of Pathology who continue to work on my appeal pro bono.
Support organisations who have assisted me this tear includes: the Prisoners’ Advice Service, the Prison Reform Trust, the RCJ Advice Bureau, the Information Commissioner’s Office, the Howard League for Penal Reform, the Independent Press Standards Organisation, the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman, the Campaign for Freedom of Information, Inside Time, Progressing Prisoners Maintaining Innocence, and the British Heart Foundation. Thank you to all.
A special thanks must go to the Arts Council for funding the production of my rock opera, ’The 4 Lives of Jimmy G’; as well as, Project Instrumental for providing the strings, Geese Theatre Company for their performance workshops, the Irene Taylor Trust, our Director, and HMP Wakefield’s Musician in Residence; plus, all the prisoners and staff who participated and supported this project. It was quite a journey.
Finally, thanks to those of you who visit my site and, occasionally, leave comments; it’s good to know there are good people out there who care.
I feel 2018 is going to bring some positive changes to my life and hope for you too, my friend.
Be happy, be safe.
