News just in: IPSO contacted the Metro; they have made a second effort to publish a clarification. Unfortunately, it does not include an admission that some of the quotes they attributed to me were false and this was their error. Their apology: “We apologise for any confusion caused,” neither addresses the distress this has caused my family or even directs it towards them (and me). I’ve now referred it back to IPSO.
The Daily Star has still not responded to IPSO. I’ve also now submitted a complaint against the Sun for publishing their version of the same inaccurate article.
Be happy, be safe (and never be intimidated).
