I went to a remembrance event which was, mainly, organised by one of the Print Shop colleagues. He did it one last year. We had war poetry readings, film, and the choir singing old war songs. This one was a smaller affair but ran over the week.
It was about the battle of El-Alemein. They did readings, showed film, used sound effects, there was a display, even a plotting board with tanks. The local museum loaned a small displayed of war time artefacts. It was all really well put together and very interesting.
You see, despite the negative stereotyping by the media and certain politicians, there are lots of guys in prisons who spend their time doing positive work.
Be happy, be safe.
