The aftermath; we’ve had a lot of really positive comments from prisoners; nice to get some ‘love’ instead of the hostility. We’ve started the process of evaluation. Interestingly, 24 guys out of the 50 feedback sheets I’ve processed didn’t turn up to the show. That’s a big percentage. Most of those didn’t turn up due to Security’s mismanagement of the re-allocation. I did predict this, so it was no surprise.
I’ve dropped out of the choir. I just don’t have the energy to have to deal with certain people and their negativity. It’s no loss.
We might have some positive movement on getting the artwork done. Previously, it felt like certain staff in Education didn’t want to support this project due to it not being their project and the fact that we had obtained Arts Council funding on our first attempt; they had 2 applications rejected. However, this time, the interaction felt more positive, with the possibility of starting something in December. I’ve been asked to put a proposal together; we’ll see.
Be happy, be safe.
