2021 – 08 – final blog
Final blog: is this the end?
My last blog asked the question: do you want me to continue the blog? I was 50/50 when I wrote that; then, I discovered we had also lost all your positive and supportive comments (post – 2015). That was heartbreaking. I can only apologise to all who took the time to reach out and share their thoughts and good wishes over the past many years.
Soo… I have taken the decision to shut down the site. This was not what I expected to be doing at the start of the year; but who knows, this might be a good thing. Take a break, see how I feel when I get to Scotland (HMP Glenochil). I don’t have any imminent plans to rebuild the site but that could change.
I know I am leaving a lot of blog threads unsolved – appeal, health, the Jimmy G project, etc – but I would welcome corresponding to any of you, friends. Of course, you would have to be decent, genuine people with something interesting to say – I really need the intellectual stimulus and challenge! You can either write to me or use email a prisoner (app available from the Apple store), either here at HMP Wakefield or when I get to Scotland in… hopefully, not too much longer and surely by the end of this year.
If you don’t want to contact me directly, the site should still be up until the end of May, so if you have any final message to leave me you’ve got until 1st June – they’ll get forwarded to me.
Well, all that’s left for me to say is thank you for taking the time over many years to show your support by coming to my site, reading my blogs and leaving your comments. For one last time…
… Be happy, be safe and be kind.
